You’ve probably seen Tiktoks, Reels & pins that have these super thick, almost ice-cream like smoothie bowls. They’re in these vibrant colors, they look absolutely to die for, and the ingredient list seems pretty straight forward. Typically has bananas, mixed fruit, some kind of thickener (ice, greek yogurt, oat milk, etc) and maybe some açaí thrown up in there.

You put it all together and you get a smoothie that is straight liquid. There is no bowl action to be found. None.

So what are you doing wrong?

The trick is in the bananas, people!

To get a thicker consistency that holds up while you’re eating it spoonful by spoonful, you need to cut your bananas into lil circles, FREEZE THEM, and then set them out about 10 minutes before you want to actually make your smoothie bowl.

Trust me. It makes all the difference.

Don’t say I never taught you shit, people.

Ingredients:

1 cup of mango, chopped

1 half banana, diced, FROZEN

Oat milk

3 tbsp collagen peptides

Toss all fruit into blender and let it sit for 7-10 minutes before adding peptides and oat milk, then blend and enjoy, queens <3
