First thing genetics plays a big role in the shape of my waist. There’s workouts you can do to maintain it and get definition but it won’t change your bone structure.
What I did was first do a lot of cardio and did a calorie deficit. I ran on the treadmill everyday and in the beginning was only able to do 10 mins but after 3 days I would increase it by 2 minutes. After that I would follow cardio workout videos on YouTube.
Once my stomach was toned I stopped running and started doing toning exercises for my waist. For me I saw when I was running I would loose the shape in my waist so just doing the toning workouts worked better for me after I already started to get in shape.
I also have a weighted hula hoop which is really convenient I do it while I’m watching tv ect..
Stretching is also really important!!
My fav workouts is any type of crunch and Russian twists with a weight. I also like side dips with a weight as well!
Also portion control when you eat is really big so I like to have small snacks or meals through the day rather than a big meal in one sitting.
