How often Are we tested In med school

So everybody knows that you're tested a lot while in Med school. It's kind of the point of being a med student is learning a lot of information and being tested on it. So how often are we tested?

The test schedule depends on what block we're on. There's not like a uniform testing schedule for the entire year. Each block is taught by a different group of professors who decide how many exams are in that block. The average amount of exams per block is usually one to two. This includes a midterm that's usually not weighted as much and then a final exam that's weighted a lot more.

Some blocks only had that final exam. Some blocks that are super long, like neuro was 8 weeks long, had exams every two weeks. so yeah the test schedule is not very uniform because it's based on what block we're on and how many exams that Professor wants to give to us. But we're able to see our exam schedule very early on so it's not like any of it surprises us.
