HOW TO LEAD A MEETING BETTER THAN 90% OF PEOPLE

Leading meetings is hard -- but once you nail the formula, you are unstoppable! 

➡️ Desired outcomes for meetings include:

✅ Align on on a direction

✅ Make a decision

✅ Ideate or brainstorm

✅ Plan 

✅ Produce something

Follow this template to run meetings like a professional: 

✅ First, send a cal invite

✅ In the agenda, add the goal and desired outcome. ✅ Desired outcome comes are in the deck!

To manage questions: 

✅ For big meeting, get a shared gDoc going where people can write questions

✅ If someone interrupts, say “I’ll hold it to the end thank you” 

✅ And throughout the meeting say “Can you take that as a follow up item by x date”

Write it on the to do doc

When ending the meeting, close with:

✅ We are getting close to time, to recap we decided x, to dos are x

Then in the notes you send to a slack channel, copy and paste what was accomplished and the to dos

And you’re better than most meeting moderators!
