📍8th stop: ilmiri Korean fusion

Went to try this Korean fusion place which is all hyped up over social media and here's my honest review about it!

They have this set for 2 to 3 pax which comes with the Mari with ramyeon & crunchy potato for $67. But of course there's other set that caters for different group sizes.

Mari with Ramyeon

Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: 2

Ordered the pork version and I think they do have one with the beef version. The pork belly with spring onion rolls on the side needs alot of effort in chewing due to the bunch of long spring onions wrapped together 🥲 the soup in the middle is just mediocre. Definitely can find better tasting stews out there. To me, this dish is just a gimmick 🤷

Rosé Jjimdak

My favourite out of all the dishes I ordered! The sauce taste a little like the buldak rosé chicken noodle but of course the flavour depth is better. Love the thick glass noodles that come with it as the sauce clings on well onto the noodles. There's 2 downside to the dish tho. First was that the chicken wasn't marinated, so there can be a little of that "chicken smelly taste" if that piece isn't drenched in enough sauce. Second was that this dish has like 70% onions Vs chicken 🥲

Crunchy Potato

Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: 2

Just pass rating as it's just potato? Crunchy? Not so much, only the sides are crunchy. I expect it to be crunchier if it's named Crunchy Potato? (idk but just my opinion). And the potato tastes like it got no seasoning. Just pure potato for yaaa. Looks better than it tastes.

Butter sunny sideup bibim rice

Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: 0.5

Holy this deserve just 0.5 rating because of the egg white (I love egg whiteeeee). They are charging this bowl of rice for freaking $8?! To me, you are better off ordering plain rice if you wanna order rice as this dish taste just like plain rice lollll nothing special honestly.

Service

Rating /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: 2.5

The Korean owner saves the day or else the service will be a failllllll. The Korean owner was really friendly and helpful but the service experience was pulled down by this older age uncle which spoils it right at the start for us. We booked a table for 4 but wanna increase to 5 at the last min. So, my sister reached earlier to inform the uncle but she was told off by the uncle instead saying that we cannot do this after submitting our reservation even though the restaurant wasn't even full. He can tell us nicely if there aren't sufficient seats too (we were just checking if we can, not a MUST). The kind owner assigned us a table of 5 alas but the uncle came nagging again saying that dining time will only be 90mins and can I say when I left (within the 90mins timeframe), the restaurant was only half full 🤷

Will I revisit? Nope sorry
