BEST KBBQ I HAD IN SEOUL? | kr diaries

if you happen to be in the gangnam district or just want really good kbbq...you have to come here

this was one easily one of the best (or the best) KBBQ i’ve eaten during my time in korea — this restaurant is located in Gangnam, 고반食堂 🫕  if i’m not wrong this kbbq place only sells pork! i went on a weekday evening, and there was a queue (waiting time about 20-25 mins).

we ordered the set for 2 pax, comes with:

• 2 serving of pork belly

• 1 serving of pork sirloin

• kimchi jjiggae

this restaurant uses charcoal grill — personal fav for kbbqs as it just brings the natural flavours the meat. as usual, the staffs will prepare and cook the meat for you at your table (super jjang service). the pork belly and sirloin were so tender and juicy, it just…melts in your mouth, it was heavenly (am drooling while typing this…). the set came with a tasty kimchi jjigae with a lot of ingredients 🍲 we ordered rice and steam eggs on the side as well! the meal came with a lot of side dishes as well - krestaurants never disappoint with this, their kimchi was major yums. this was also the first time discovering how well wasabi goes with meat.

the total bill amounted to about $55 — about $27 per pax! for the quality of food, unlimited banchan, service — 10/10 worth it. they have english speaking staff and an english menu so its foreigner friendly! will definitely come back here again!
