Hi all! Today I wanted to share some hair products that I have tried that made my hair healthier and better! Since I have already shared my reviews on Sulfate-free shampoos here, today I will be sharing on Silicon and Sulfate-free conditioners and my favourite bang for buck hair dryer.

Silicon free conditioners + leave-ins:

1. ✨ Moremo 10 Seconds Miracle Water Treatment

I love this! The smell, the formulation and the effects after! It has a rather strong fragrance but I like it! The formulation is so interesting because after I apply it to the ends of my hair after shampoo-ing, I can feel the liquid heat up on my hair a little. Then I only need to wait 10 seconds to wash it out which is so convenient as I can wash my face in the mean time. Afterwards, my hair is very smooth! I think I can't live without it now.

2. ✨ Kundal Honey & Macademia Miracle Damage Care Amino Acid Water Treatment

That's a mouth full LOL. This is also a good and cheaper alternative to the Moremo one. It also works to make my hair smoother but I feel that it coats your hair a little more as comoared to the Moremo one. It also doesn't really have that heat when put on my wet hair. The fragrance is nice. Also the bottle is so hard to squeeze but the product doesn't come out without me squeezing. Literally, a grip strength training using it. But okay I think it's decent for its cheap price.

3. ✨ Shea Moisture Strength & Restore Leave in Conditioner

I apply a small amount when my hair is slightly damp. A little goes a long way for our East Asian hair because I think this product was formulated more for African hair texture. It's ingredients have a lot of natural stuff that's beneficial for hair and it has a strong scent of like a mix of coconut oil and the Jamaican black castor oil which I know not many people is a fan of. After a while, it could smell more like Vanilla but yeah, the scent may not be a crowd favourite here. However, I feel like it does tame my frizz more and helps make your hair healthier. They do sell small $9.90 bottles to try on Shopee so you can get that to see if you like the scent.

Another notable product will be: Hask Curl Care 5-in-1 leave-in spray

Although it is in a spray bottle, it is still viscous and creamy. It also does not have silicon and works decently well to make your hair less frizzy and it smells more pleasant than the Shea Moisture one above. Similarly I think a little goes a long way and it contains a lot of great ingredients to nourish your hair!

4. ✨ The Ordinary 100% Cold Pressed Argan Oil

A very affordable cold-pressed Argan oil which can help to make your hair healthier and smoother. As we all know argan oil is known for being great for our hair but cold-press is even better because without processing the argan oil with heat, it preserves all the goodness of argan oil. Anways, this is very bang for buck for its price and really 2-3 drops goes a long way for my long hair. Don't apply too much or it will make your hair look too oily and apply from bottom to top so you don't end up looking like you have oily scalp. You should also try to rub the oil all over your palms before you touch your hair. Sometimes some parts get more product than other parts but I haven't figured a way to apply it more evenly so thats a minus point. Also, it has a very woody scent which might also not be great but I think if you just use very little then it wouldn't be obvious.

5. ✨ Diane Extra Hair Fall Control Scalp Revitalizing Essence

Smell nice, feels good and helps reduce some hair fall. Plus, when some parts of my scalp feels a little sticky, icky or itchy, I use this and it seems to resolve the issue well. Also has plenty of beneficial ingredients like botanical extracts, oils, and Salicylic Acid for your scalp which can be helpful for us oily scalp girls to balance things out and exfoliate our scalp a little.

Favourite Hair dryer:

✨ Laifen SE Hair Dryer

I love this! It's like a Dyson dupe that performs just as good and for a much more affordable price. 3 heat settings and 2 wind speed. You have cool air (room temp), warm air (50-58deg), hot air (80deg). Cool and warm air will definitely not damage your hair and I think even the hot air isn't that bad unlike normal hair dryers that if used daily might be too hot. Of course if you like to do the blow out hairstyles then its a little tougher with less heat but personally for me, I can manage. The cool air is so cooling that you can use the hair dryer as a fan if you are hot. 😂 Also it produces negative ions which will prevent frizz from static. It's also quieter than regular hair dryers and nozzle attachments are attached using magnetism. Overall, the hair dryer has a high quality feel, performs well and is much more affordable than Dyson. (got it for $80 on Taobao when my BF was in China, $160 if you buy in SG from Tiktok shop)

That's all from me, do you have any haircare products that you would recommend? I have heard about the Olaplex No. 9 Hair Serum which is a rare silicon free product from them! Recently, I have also done some research and learnt that silicons aren't bad! There is a lot of misinformation on silicons being bad and how it coats our hair and prevents our hair from 'breathing' but our hair are just dead fibres so our hair doesn't need to 'breath'. I think unless you are going for the curly hair method or your hair is really weighed down, maybe we don't need to avoid silicon like the plague! Even using a sulfate shampoo once every 1 or 2 weeks is okay to prevent product build up can be helpful!
