WTH BIG IMPACTS MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE

Everybody has a memorable journey and whether it is good or bad, we call as a memorable experience. Luckily I still have some of my photos, (which I call Photo Dump here) in my gallery as most of those photos were gone due to my handphone being spoilt and those photos can't be saved.

My journey in the creative line started when I was looking for a job and I was very interested in an Advertising career but made me think twice when the job was offered to me but I had to start from the very below, meaning I had to go to an internship program first. Wait a minute! I had to think again because I had already got a good salary from my previous jobs and how could I have to go down again, to further mix with all the young buddies from College just for the sake of being in that field? First, it was crazy as I had to get only little salary of a few hundred ringgit (just for an internship) for 6 months and I had to learn from basics to stretch to the work I loved and my passion.

When I started on my first day working in the well-known worldwide Advertising Agency, the staff were surprised to see I was in the copywriting department. The management put me under the Bahasa Melayu department and at the same time, I will assist in the English side. With my age and experience working, they think I was out of my mind to be in that place. Memang betul pun, 'aku je ke' yang daripada pengalaman lain, tiba2 masuk ke internship. Tapi kerana minat punya hal, aku teruskan juga.

At first, they asked me what made me change my career path, from the corporate sector to the creative line. I just answered because of my passion for writing and advertising. And second thought, they thought I had been there because of the famous icon in the industry, the late Yasmin Ahmad. I smiled and nodded, yes...one of the reasons also. As you all know, Arwah Yasmin was an Executive Director in the company and she was behind the scenes for commercial Ads for Hari Raya. But unfortunately, when I stepped in, she had passed away about 6 months already.

That all started, with zero advertising and I spread my wings to other Agencies and clients. When they said, they were afraid to enter into this zone, what I can say is, that if you have that creativity, passion, and love to play with words (writing), everything will be at ease. And of course, most of the time, they have deadlines. With copywriting, you know about the brands and how to convince clients with your words. Copywriting and Content writing are two different things. Copywriting is mainly you have to convince clients to buy the products of respective brands whilst Content writing, you will write more, introducing one particular thing etc.

Kesimpulan di sini, korang boleh lakukan apa saja yang korang inginkan asalkan dengan minat yang mendalam. Teruskan usaha di samping doa yang tanpa putus juga.
