fancy egg tarts and have a thing for sour dough made pastries? then you HAVE TO try these ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ผ๐๐ด๐ต ๐ฒ๐ด๐ด ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ from ๐๐๐ค๐๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ when in Hong Kong! priced at only HKD 12 (~SGD $2.20) per piece, each customer who walks out from the store never just has one tart, trust me he/she will be leaving with at least one box.
similar texture to portugese egg tarts, these goodies are made using sour dough which is honestly healthier to consume as compared to normal flour and dough. thereโs a variety of minerals and nutrients in sour dough so munching on these egg tarts doesnโt actually feel too sinful. itโs crispy on the outside, slightly flaky but also moist and a tad sweet for the filling - i donโt know anyone whoโs tried it and said it isnโt too their liking.
aside from their specialty sourdough egg tarts, they also sell danish, croissants, scones, doughnuts and other tarts, and of course, loaves of sourdough bread in various flavours - all of them baked freshly daily! i also tried their vanilla filled doughnut (HKD 38) which you could give a miss, and go for their scones (HKD 20) instead (๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ผ๐ป๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ is their best seller!).
beverages are also available at their takeaway outlets: Tsim Sha Tsui, Causeway Bay, Central, Wanchai and Stanley. if youโre in HK, be sure to bring home a box or two of these goodies!
