I diy-ed my own church wedding decor

Only do this if:

1. you’re having a small wedding

2. have the space in your house for storage

3. have time to spare the day before your wedding

4. LOTSA friend to help you 😂

I bought 95% of the stuff from Taobao and the rest from Shopee - spent about $1k in total.

1. Photo Gallery

- bought 4 metal stands from Taobao and printed our pre-wedding photos on foam boards locally (i think i got 4 A1s and 8 A2s from Lighting Prints @ $240 or so).

- i set up all the metal stands by myself on the day before and underestimated how long it would take LOL. my friends helped to put the foam boards up, and even so it took more than 1hour.

- the foam boards kept dropping and my friends and family had to help to set them up again even up till 1 hour before the wedding which was really quite stressful

- the flower base and hedges were all bought from Taobao

2. Floral Arch

- the floral arch (stand + flowers) came in a package and cost about $180

- it was pretty fuss free to set up

- i also bought extra stalks of faux flower as inserts because their original flower was all white, too white

3. Pew Flowers

- i bought a bunch of dried flowers locally (think from a nursery @Thomson?) that i liked and tied them into a small bouquet

- gave them away for free on carousell afterwards

4. Others

- i also got a mail box from Shopee to use as my ang bao box cause i didn’t want to waste money on something i wouldn’t use again, just pasted a 喜 sticker to make it more on theme lol

- added our wedding magazine, wedding favours and some other decor stuff like sheer table cloth and faux vines to make it look less empty

• also managed to sell off slightly more than half of what i bought ✌🏿 thank God all the bulky stuff are gone 😩

🌟 i shipped everything directly from Taobao without using 3PF. just remember to choose “集运” instead of “值运” cause the former calculates shipping by size instead of weight. if you choose the latter then they would likely reject your parcel if it exceeds their stipulated size.
