This Easter bunny cake has been a tradition in my family for years. For as long as I can remember, my grandma would always make this cake and bring it to Easter dinner. It was always such a highlight and the kids LOVED it!
I decided to keep her tradition alive this year and make it for our Easter dinner! You can use any cake you want! I used carrot cake and cream cheese frosting. DELICIOUS 😋
TIPS:
-Use two 8 inch rounds
-After your cakes bake let them cool completely before popping the cakes out
- Once the cakes are out use a plate as an outline to help cut the ears. This will make more of a precise cut! (I did not do that and that is why my ears look wonky lol)
-Place your cakes in the bunny formation on the final plate you want to display the cake on. That way you don’t have to transfer any cake!
-Let your cakes freeze! I froze mine overnight but I’m sure an hour in the freezer would be plenty.
-Start with a crumb coat and pop in the freezer for 30 minutes then add your final layer of frosting. This will give it a clean look!
