My breastfeeding Journey

My son was born premature and long story short (that’s a post for a different day) I was never able to breast feed. I was determined with my next child to breastfeed! Throughout my entire pregnancy when asked what was most important to me for birth all I asked for was immediate skin to skin and adequate help when it came to making sure I can nurse my baby. It’s not been easy and I had my moments of wanting to stop but with the support of friends and family ( and being wildly lucky to be able to stay home with my babies which I know not everyone is able to and I’m forever grateful for that) I’m happy to say that my daughter and I are going on month 18 of breastfeeding! It has truly been the hardest yet most incredibly rewarding thing I’ve ever done.
