Tomorrow marks 6 weeks postpartum.
While having a c-section has been a longer recovery, I’m finally feeling normal and minimal to no pain at my incision site.
I will find out tomorrow if I’m cleared to workout and if I am I plan to start very slow. After childbirth is not the time to try to go on a diet or do anything crazy. My goal is to gain muscle back that I lost and rebuild my strength. Eventually get back to competing next year.
WHAT I’VE BEEN DOING:
-Daily walks
-Pelvic floor exercises
-Gallon of water daily
-Tracking food intake (this is to make sure I’m eating enough for my milk supply)
✳️Breastfeeding mothers need an extra 300-500 calories per day.
Looking forward to sharing my journey with you all especially once I incorporate strength training again.
