🚂🚡Getting there
We took a train (R5 line) from Plaça Espanya in Barcelona to Aeri de Montserrat. Then we took a cable car that takes you to the monastery on the mountain. The total journey took around 1 hour.

⏱ Duration
The hike took us around 4 hours to explore!
Tip: Come in the early morning to avoid the afternoon sun and also to avoid missing the last cable car down which was around 5pm!
🏔 The Hike
There are 3 hiking trails and of different difficulty levels. We went for the beginner route and the total distance was about 5 km ~ Do wear comfortable sports/hiking shoes as the road itself can get pretty rocky! It was super scenic, overlooking the vast mountains! Overall I would really recommend this day trip if you have extra time in barcelona!
