This makes about 4 Quart sized jars of pickles. The best part, you can decide how much garlic, onion, dill, mustard seed, and peppercorns to taste!
Feeling spontaneous? Add in Red Pepper Flakes for a bit of tang!
What you need!
• 3 lbs pickling cucumbers
• 2 1/2 cups distilled white vinegar
• 6 Tbs Kosher salt / Pickling Salt
• 4 Tbs Sugar
• 4 C cold water
• 12 Garlic Cloves, halved
• 1 Large White Onion, sliced
• Mustard Seeds
• Black Peppercorns
• Dill
How to make them!
• Wash and cut cucumbers how you desire.
• Disperse garlic, Onion, and Dill between 4 Quart
sized mason jars. Then sprinkle about a teaspoon
of peppercorns and mustard seed in jars. Then
stuff with cucumbers.
• Combine Vinegar, Salt, and Sugar in large
saucepan over high heat until salt and sugar are
dissolved.
• Once dissolved, remove from heat and stir in cold
water.
• Fill jars to bottom of rim, put the lids on, and put in
the fridge.
• Wait about a day to enjoy, these will last a few
weeks in the fridge and get better the longer you
wait!
