Chinese Style Pre Wedding Shoot Ideas 📷

I wanted a pre wedding shoot with a Kua look so I began looking for suitable venues. I was initially looking at temples in Singapore - Thian Hock Keng Temple which is a popular spot among couples.

However, taking into consideration of the unpredictable weather conditions ⛈️ and the humid weather ☀️ in Singapore. I decided to look for an indoor studio, but the studios I saw mainly have simple red background and limited props.

Then I went scrolling on 小红书 for ideas and came across this fun concept of couples eating hotpot in a Chinese restaurant. Totally the vibe I was looking for and seems fun. Hence, I began to look for hotpot restaurants in Singapore. Then I found 小龙坎火锅 (Somerset branch). Must be this branch cause their VIP rooms have nice background and more importantly you don’t have to worry about other customers starring at you while you pose.

I called the restaurant and they said that the booking of VIP room has no minimum spending but is meant for 6 pax. I told them that I really like their restaurant and hope to reserve the room for my pre wedding shoot and the shoot can be done within 1 hour. The staff told me to come during off peak hours as they have reservations.

The decorations outside the restaurant is FOC as seen in my first picture. But in order to have the full experience and have more variety in your photos I recommend ordering a hotpot and some dishes as “props” best thing you can enjoy afterwards. I spent about $50 for a twin pot and 5 other dishes.

If you are looking to go a few places you might want to consider this venue as your last stop so you can enjoy your food without overrunning your schedule.
