With Singapore's weather being so hot, it does feel like I need a cold drink 24/7. As my friend and I had been exploring Joo Chiat for the entire day, we definitely needed a drink to quench our thirst. That was when we came across Joo Chiat Caphe!
If you didn't know, Joo Chiat does have a part of its street where you can find authentice Vietnamese eateries — this includes Joo Chiat Caphe. We decided to get the classic Vietnamese Sock Coffee which costed us $3.80. The coffee itself was super strong similar to that you'd get in Vietnam. As per all Vietnamese coffees, this too was exceptionally sweet. If you're not a fan of sweet coffee, you'd probably have to request for a less sweet option.
While we did not try their food, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they don’t serve pork or lard. This is definitely a plus point as I don't think there are many “no pork no lard” Vietnamese eateries here in Singapore.
📍Joo Chiat Caphe, 263 Joo Chiat Rd, Singapore 427517
➡️ 20 min bus ride from Paya Lebar Mrt
