Try Koh Samui for your next vacation!

When i told my friends that i was going to Koh Samui for my minimoon, it came as a surprise that many of them did not know where it is. It is actually the second largest island in Thailand and an alternative place to take a relaxing trip if you do not like the crowds in Phuket/Bali!

Our trip was 5D4N, we took Scoot both ways as it offers direct flight to Samui Airport without needing to transfer at Bangkok. Here is what we did during our trip!

Day 1: Arrive at Samui airport

- Check in at Skye Beach Hotel, comes with a private pool and blocked view of the sea 🌊

- Dinner at Salefino, an Italian restaurant by the sea! Nice ambience and the owner is very friendly

Day 2: Angthong Marine Park Tour (4 islands tour)

- Koh Wao: Snorkelling

- Sam Sao: Kayaking

- Talay Nai: Hiking up the peak and seeing the emerald lagoon, very pretty!

- Angthong Marine Park: Chilling by the beach and swimming since we didn’t climb up the peak

Day 3: Massage and rest day

As the previous day was quite tiring, we spent the day in the room swimming in our private pool and doing an in-room massage! As the room also comes with a fully furnished kitchen, we also cooked our own lunch 😊

During evening time, we went to Fisherman Village as it was Friday and the main night market opens then! We also ate dinner at Coco Tam’s in order to watch their fire show 🔥!! They have 2 shows everyday at 7.15pm and 9pm, so head there early if you want to get the best view!

There are a lot of seafood options that are quite affordable along the streets, just walk into one that you fancy!

Day 4: ATV

- 2h ATV tour

- As it was raining in the evening, we went to Central Samui and did our last minute shopping for souvenirs and snacks

Day 5: Flight back to SG

After breakfast, we grabbed to Samui airport to catch our flight back! Last photo shows our waiting area for the airport tram to bring us to our plane. This is my first time being in a non-air conditioned one floor only airport 🤣 What an experience!

Overall, this was a very peaceful and relaxing trip because there was not much crowd across the entire island.
