saturday brunch with my doggo 🧇

i didn't know how popular nassim hill bakery was till i tried walking in once with my pupper, shio, on a saturday morning just to get rejected 🥲🐕 so please book your table in advance if you're bringing your doggo as pets are only allowed in the outdoor seating area!

ambience: the decor is mainly concrete industrial furnishings with warm lighting and wooden furniture 🪵 it is a very casual vibe and perfect for a dress down brunch!

what we ordered:

🍝 laksa pasta — they were really generous with the ingredients which had quail eggs, fishcakes and prawns like your traditional laksa! taste-wise, it is what it is and is a fail proof option to me

🧀 cheddar bacon waffles — i saw that this was one of the top dishes recommended and i can see why! the cheddar was mixed into the batter and when made into a waffle, it added a nice crisp 👌 the waffle here is not the fluffy type and is more to the thin and crispy side but i ain't mad! they also mixed bacon bits into the batter 😍

🥃 iced latte — honestly, the latte here looks so over the top to me 😅 i was down for a simple iced latte and could do without the overflowing milk foam

🐶 puppy thoughts:

every table was occupied by pawrents during our visit and best believe, the outdoor tables were packed! the staff were.also kind enough to offer water bowls 💦 to the doggos except to shio where i assumed they just ran out of reusable bowls 🫠 shio also made friends with a malamute from our table neighbour! as mentioned, do book your table in advance and request for an outdoor seating to avoid disappointments.
