newly renovated cafe at upper thomson! 🪴

columbus coffee recently renovated and they also have a new menu to go along! i went for a late lunch at 2.30pm and still there was a slight queue.

ambience: think zen aesthetics 😌 warm, wooden furnishings all around accompanied by white brick walls and plants.

what i ordered:

🍝 carbonara — if you didn't know, columbus coffee is sister to atlas coffeehouse, which also serves carbonara and is something we always order there so you could say we ordered this for the sake of familiarity 🤪

🍳 bacon & potato omelette — this is exactly what you think it'll taste like. however, it was overly salty for my liking. it doesn't help that the housemade chilli atop the omelette added to the saltiness of it. the only saving grace was the sour cream which helped to mellow down the flavours. all in all, wouldn't recommend.

🥃 iced latte — will not disappoint!

i will admit the omelette was quite disappointing and nothing more than a nice photo op 😢 i have tried their other cafes before and even before they renovated, where i quite enjoyed the food. so i might have had a better experience if i ordered something else!
