Hidden gem in Upper Thomson??

This cafe is called Cava which is located in Jalan Gelenggang, along Upper Thomson. I have visited this cafe multiple times because I really like the environment and the food here is really good too! This cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating. They offer a variety of food and drink options ranging from small bites to bigger portions.

The outdoor seating is a pet-friendly cafe, perfect for those who wish to bring their furry friends along! 🐶 There is also a Canine Wellness & Rehab Centre located right beside it where you can bring your furry friends to a spa.

What I strongly recommend:

🍞Otah Bruschetta:

A layer of Otah is spread across the Sour Dough sprinkled with cheese (+$2) on top before being placed in the oven for baking.

🍔Cava Burger:

There are 2 options for the Cava Burger, Chicken, and Wagyu Slice. I have only tried the Chicken. The chicken is very crispy and resembles Mcdonald's Mcspicy Chicken just without the spice. It is served with melted cheddar cheese, perfect for those who love cheese a lot. However, it can get a little jelat if you are eating it alone.

🧇Chicken & Croffles:

This is one of my go-to's whenever I visit this cafe. I really love the croffles (croissants make using a waffle machine) and the coleslaw which is freshly made.

🍝Sakura Cream Tagliatelle:

Another go-to when I feel like eating Pasta. The base is Mentaiko Cream and is served with scallops and prawns.

🍟Fries (Mentaiko / Truffle with Parmesan Cheese):

I have been to many cafes and tried their fries but I am always disappointed to see that their portion is very small. For Cava, their portion is very generous and their sauces are also very generous too! Their sauces, both the mentaiko and truffle with parmesan cheese are very good. 😋😋

If you are looking for a place to study or even for business meetings, this is definitely the place to go as they have tables that are quieter and away from the crowd. However, personally, I find that the plain coffees ☕️ (e.g. Latte) is more on the bitter side. I would therefore recommend you to try some of their other coffees such as Sea Salt Caramel Latte or even their pot of teas which are really fragrant! 🍵
