a quaint HDB block coffee shop 🤍

you know a place sells good coffee when that's almost the only thing they sell. no gram-worthy brunch food, no elaborate aesthetic, just good ol' coffee. it's no wonder that narrative coffee holds the top coffee spot in my heart but today, we're trying zerah!

what we ordered:

🍋 lemon loaf

🥭 iced latte // gargari gutity ethiopia — lemon, mango & earl grey

🫐 iced latte // tablon de gomez — orange, blackberry, chocolate

i love how their coffee is perfectly roasted and brewed to give such an aromatic mouthfeel. while the ethiopian beans are more acidic given the tasting notes, i preferred the tablon de gomez which felt more balanced. however, this is just based on my preference and in no way trying to undermine their beans. i'm sure there are folks who prefer the taste profile of the former.

📝 tip: if you're not a fan of acidic coffees but like fruity flavours, opt for beans that have stonefruits in their tasting notes eg. nectarines, plums
