a quiet morning at river valley 😌

funny how my morning workout turned into exploring a new neighborhood. it was a perfect sunny day out, the streets were strangely quiet and it was therapeutic walking pass cute little shophouses lined up along the road - it almost felt like katong's baby sister type vibe.

the walk brought me to kohi roastery and crane! you might have heard of these places because they blew up on tiktok but that was probably the joo chiat outlet. i didn't know that nestled within river valley was another!

the aesthetic here is different, think rustic, vintage furniture and exposed ceilings. it felt like a nice hideout for a cuppa and i had my coffee as usual with a white chocolate mochi blondie! sadly, with any dessert that has mochi, storage and heating up is tricky. while the blondie itself was alright, the mochi filling was tough to break through and lost its chewiness. a slight damper to an otherwise refreshing morning but i still enjoyed the space.
