THIS is why i’ve stopped paying for facials 🧏🏻‍♀️

Being a girl is not just difficult, it’s also mad expensive 😮‍💨

I remember i used to spend 4 digits on facial packages, all in the name of maintenance. Last year my skin was breaking out quite a bit, so I had to spend quite a bit (see my last 2 images). But thankfully my skin has stabilised, so in the name of #mindfulspending , i’ve stopped paying for facials altogether. In fact, i’ve gone for a number of facials this year but paid nothing.

The “trick”?

Just pay close attention to the ads you get served on instagram! Some are offered at a lower price, while some are totally free. I tend to go for the free ones most of the time 🤭 Of course, since it’s free, the drawback is that the facial session might not be as comprehensive as a paid one, eg no brow trimming or manual extraction etc - but this differs from salon to salon.

Take my recent visit to Victoria Facelift for example. I had a good experience - this facial salon offered light extraction, brow trimming and even a cup of chamomile tea since my appointment ended in the late evening. However, i’ve also been to another facial salon a few months back that only focused on laser (first pic, can’t remember which place it was tho) instead of a manual facial extraction process. One pro-tip would be to pass your phone to the beauty advisor so you could have your phone charged while you’re recharging yourself during the process!
