Tips to Clear your Beloved Clothes at Fleawhere🛒

I've been wanting to try "theluggagemarket" but the slots are always sold out fast so I tried boothing at FleaWhere @ Dhoby Ghaut with my bestie Fina❤️ and we earned about $500 from clearing all our preloved clothes and items💯

Here are some tips and informations from the flea event that I took away that might help you~

1️⃣ I know website stated opening hours is 1pm-7pm and you're able to come at 12pm to set up, but honestly, just go there early because customers are there as early as 9/10am🕒

2️⃣ Be ready for chaos. On my first day there, people swarmed over to my booth when I JUST arrived and they literally would self service with the luggages (probably because they want to cop the good stuffs first) 🫨

3️⃣ Bring paper and markers along! You gotta change the prices at different times of the day in order to boost sales🛒 We usually drop the price to $1 or $2 per piece one to two hours before closing💸 Create bundle prices such as 3 for $10 works too!

4️⃣ Be ready to sell at dirt cheap prices. As most customers are helpers and aunties who can really bargain like crazy. I can't help but to give in, especially when they say they'll buy more. Since my goal was to only clear all my items and not really to profit, I agreed on most bargained prices💯

5️⃣ Talking to your customers is very important! I realised just staring at them browsing through items at my booth won't keep them. Initiating talks or even helping them find what they want would make them want to purchase👌🏻

6️⃣ Don't bother to categorise the items too much (e.g pants shirt skirt dress rompers) because it gets messed up anyway. Just let it be🛒

‼️Things that sell well: Clothes👚, Resin Keychains made by my friend @/yulitastudios on IG, Soft toys🧸 and Perfumes

7️⃣Bring CASH💵 I brought my printed QR codes for payment but I NEVER used them at all! Thank god I prepared cash ($2 $5 $10 $50) and coins (mostly $1 and 50cents)

8️⃣Optional: Plastic bag🛍️ I feel like having plastic bags will encourage them buy more because they don't wanna be carrying the items they buy on hand since they're there to browse

QOTD: Will I go back to booth there again?

A: Yes💯 but I feel like it's only going to be worth it if you have lots of items to clear. Since I've cleared my closet, the next time I'll go back is probably in a few years time😙 Those with mountains of clothes at home and you wanna clear, this is the place!
