i found a bali inspired hidden gem in KL 😱

We all know that JB has many trendy and hipster cafes, but do you know KL is also a great city for cafe hopping? This Bali-inspired aesthetic cafe, Dusun by Openhouse was one of my must-go when I first chanced upon another creator’s L8 post! 😍

📍Located within Bangsar Shopping Centre, this cafe has both an indoor space and an alfresco seating area. We chose to sit outdoors as the modern contemporary style blended with rustic, wooden elements, was the perfect ambience for us! It definitely reminded us of Bali cafes with a similar aesthetic. 🪵

💭 What makes Dusun OpenHouse unique is their wood smoked concept. They used traditional kampung cooking techniques, with mangrove wood fire – smoking and burning to create a special dining experience.

❤️ I especially loved their chicken tacos as it was well flavoured and I could really taste the smokiness of the meat. I would say their tart was rather disappointing though, so do head somewhere else for the desserts instead. ❌

💸 Price is slightly above average but acceptable, considering the location, the environment and effort in creating the dishes with high quality ingredients. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
