Here’s a pretty typical day of eating for me, trying to eat intuitively and below my calorie maintenance with an emphasis on high protein.
10-11pm
Breakfast is usually my biggest meal and I try to incorporate high protein, good fats, and carbs. Eggs are usually my go to with some sort of meat such as sausage or turkey bacon. I also usually have half an avocado to get some good fats, and a date for fiber. On the days that I’m not feeling eggs I will eat oatmeal with protein, fruits, and honey.
1-3pm
Usually I’ll just have a little snack before my second bigger meal. I’ll snack on some fruit, yogurt, or nuts.
4-6pm
For my second bigger meal I focus on high protein coming from a meat source, and carbs. My favorite options are steak, chicken, or ground beef paired with broccoli, potatoes, or green beans.
7-10pm
Before I go to sleep I will usually have a sweet treat high in protein. I still try to stay away from processed foods with my sweet treats so I will stick to dates, honey, yogurt, or protein shake ninja creami.
