Oriental Kopi Dupe ⁉️

Have you heard of Hock Kee (福气安康）Kopitiam? Now opened at JB City Square, you should try this restaurant as it’s similar to Oriental Kopi too (✨ & there wasn’t any queue!!)

We had following dishes:

1️⃣ Satay Fried Char Kway Teow (RM 16.90)

Spicy kway teow with succulent prawns and paired with the sweet peanut sauce, this was a good combination all together. The sweet satay peanut sauce is a sweet but there aren’t much ingredients in the char kway teow. I might actually prefer oriental kopi’s version more 🤭

2️⃣ Chicken Rice (RM 15.90)

Juicy, tender and boneless chicken FTW! I prefer this chicken rice > oriental kopi because it’s boneless. The rice was so fragrant paired with the kampung chicken ~ & it’s slightlyyyy cheaper than Oriental Kopi’s.

3️⃣ Chicken Wings (RM 15.90)

3 pieces of chicken wings served, it’s crispy and juicy but probably not the main highlight of the meal, although it’s a very good side dish~ can try!

4️⃣ Milo (RM 6.50) & Iced Kopi (RM 5.50)

Very gao milo & iced kopi. I would prefer Oriental Kopi’s iced kopi over this but the milo here is soooo good and I personally think it’s better than Oriental’s ~

Feels like both franchise has their own share of wow factor, but as I was typing this, I missed Oriental Kopi more… (am I bias? 🥹) Let me know what you think of Hock Kee if you have tried it!
