Long Weekend Trip turned bad?!

My eagerly anticipated brief cruise to Phuket has finally arrived, but unfortunately, on the second day, my health took a downturn with a sudden onset of fever, headache, flu, and cough. 😪😪 My primary concern was being unable to disembark in Phuket, a highlight of the cruise. On the third day, my worst fears materialized. Feeling extremely unwell, I had to cancel plans to explore Phuket, opting instead to rest and recover onboard.

After a day of much-needed rest, my body felt sufficiently recovered to explore the cruise and make the most of my last day of vacation. The only saving grace during my time confined to my room was the complimentary upgrade to a Balcony room; without it, I believe my claustrophobia would have undoubtedly surfaced.

Despite my complaints, the answer to whether I would go again is a definite yes. 😂 If it weren't for falling ill, I believe I would have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. While the food may not have been the best, the freedom from deciding every meal and the bliss of not having to plan every activity is a blessing too. 😄 The serene sea views throughout the ship add an extra layer of relaxation to the experience.
