👨🍳Craving some delicious, authentic Chinese food? Try making these Red-Braised Pork Ribs at home! 🍖✨ It’s absolutely perfect when served with rice.
Ingredients:
• 500g ribs
• 3 slices ginger
• 2 sections scallions
• 1 tbsp cooking wine
• 30g rock sugar
• 2 tbsp oil
• 2 slices fresh ginger
• 2 bay leaves
• 1 star anise
• 1 small piece of cinnamon (about 5 cm)
• 2 tbsp light soy sauce
• 1 tsp dark soy sauce
• 1 tbsp oyster sauce
• 4 bowls of water (about 1L)
• 1 tsp sesame seeds
Instructions:
1. Boil the ribs: In a pot, boil 500g of ribs with 3 slices of ginger, 2 sections of scallions, and 1 tbsp of cooking wine to remove any blood.
2. Caramelize sugar: Heat 2 tbsp of oil, add 30g of rock sugar, and stir until it caramelizes.
3. Stir-fry the ribs: Add the ribs and stir-fry until they are evenly coated with the caramelized sugar.
4. Add seasonings: Add 2 slices of fresh ginger, 2 bay leaves, 1 star anise, a small piece of cinnamon (about 5 cm), 2 tbsp of light soy sauce, 1 tsp of dark soy sauce, and 1 tbsp of oyster sauce. Stir-fry to mix well.
5. Simmer: Add 4 bowls (about 1L) of water, bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
6. Thicken the sauce: Turn up the heat to thicken the sauce, sprinkle with 1 tsp of sesame seeds, and it’s ready to serve.
