spin class is not for me 😭

saw lots of my friends going for spin classes and i hopped on the bandwagon 🫢🫢 unfortunately it wasnt really for me 😭

BUT! the staff and spin instructor were all so friendly and helpful 🥺🥺 i rly came to the class with 0 knowledge so i had a really hard time keeping up with the class, but i felt that the instructor tried her best to accommodate to my pace while not shortchanging the rest! 🤩 i would rly highly recommend this spin studio (ASCEND STUDIO ‼️), but i think im just not cut out for spin 🫨🫨

why not for me:

1. i chose the bike at the corner bc i was rly awkward and afraid that people would judge me - but i ended up not hearing alot of the instructions given as it was too soft 😭

2. as a sporty person entering a spin class that was “suitable for beginners” i struggled more than expected 🫢 it was way harder than riding a normal bicycle and made me more sore than my usual gym session 😫

3. im tonedeaf…. the instructor kept telling us to follow the beat but gurl here could not figure out where the beat was 😭😭😭 it was really really hard… i think after the whole 45min i still didnt find the beat 😔😔

4. i went alone and was so clueless 😭 i didnt know how to adjust my bike, click in my shoes, where to put my weights and everything! with nobody to ask for help 😭 (the staff eventually came over to help me but i felt so bad bc it wasnt even her job 😅😅)

overall, i guess spin is really not for everyone! but i would highly recommend everyone to try it at least once though! & i used my classpass free trial credits so i didnt feel that it was “wasted” heh i would definitely wanna try more workouts on classpass like pilates and yoga!!! 🤩🤩 please drop some beginner friendly recommendations below hehe 💖💖
