Anyone craving for butter cookie post-cny like me ?!
I couldn’t find a good butter cookie that doesn’t cost me $20-$30💸 so my boyfriend decided to bake it for me 🤡 & I wanted to join in the fun.
Surprisingly it was so good and so easy for beginners like me that I decided to share it on #Lemon8SG 💫.
What you’ll need for tools are
-Sift
-Mixer
-Kitchen scale
-Oven
4 ingredients are
- golden churn butter ($$$ but worth it )
- plain flour
- icing sugar
- corn starch

Before doing anything , preheat oven to 150 degree.
Step 1:
Measure out 150gram of * room temperature * butter 🧈
Cut into smaller pieces & add into the mixer bowl.
Step 2:
Measure 30gram of icing sugar & add into the mixing bowl.
Step 3:
Whisk until butter and icing sugar is well mixed and butter is creamy & smooth.
Step 4:
Measure out 95gram of plain flour & 75gram of corn starch
Step 5:
Add dry ingredient mixture into mixing bowl slowly as you whisk.
Stop whisking when you can feel the dough sticking together into a lump.
Step 6:
Pipe or use your hand to shape it
( preferred to pipe it like in picture because if it’s too flat, it wont be as “puffy” )
Step 7:
Bake it at preheated oven 150 degree for 20-30 mins depending on how big/thick your cookie is, mine took 25min. It was done at 20min but we left it inside to let it brown abit more.
& You’re done ! Super simple yet best tasting butter cookie I’ve had even compared to name-Brand’s one.
Simple activity to do over date night / girls night ☺️🤍
To achieve the same cookie , don’t do any adjustment to the measurements because during the second batch we added more icing sugar to try but it actually made the cookie not as crumbly. 😅
We made 3 batch in total with 2 butter & 1 packet of each dry ingredients 🙌🏻⭐️ all > $20
