Worth heading to Christmas Wonderland?

Hey Zesties, if you are wondering if you should visit Christmas Wonderland this year, READ THIS before heading down!

To be frank, I was thinking of giving this year’s Christmas Wonderland a miss- considering that the lighting and activities are relatively similar every year. This year, I heard great things about it from friends and so I went. Here’s how it went:

1/ It’s no surprise that Supertree Grove remains the iconic photo spot. As usual, you can expect the light show to be held at the Supertree Grove.

2/ There are 4 key spots this year and it’s definitely less crowded! You can spot them by gate number which makes it easier to meet your friends as well.

3/ Ideal route: Enter by Gate 1 which is the nearest gate to the MRT. I went in with ease on a weekday night, hardly any queuing at all. A good to gauge is to enter 45mins- 1hour before the light show, so you won’t be pushed around when it begins. Finish the usual spots around Gate 1 and Gate 2 first, and head over to Gate 3 and Gate 4 area for f&b and remaining photospot. There are more carnival games this year, mainly around gate 3. That said, there are mainly children playing.

4/ My favourite photo spot is the lighted lighthouse at Frosty’s Fairground. Some climbing is required as it is uphill and the ground might be muddy from the rain as well!

Final Verdict: Highly recommend to head in! I especially like that its much spacious this time around!
