Did you know Lola’s just opened a new outlet at Tampines Mall! I have been a fan of the Simon Road’s outlet since many years ago. I finally got to try it yesterday after seeing numerous post of them on TikTok. They always have an insane long queue and the earliest slot for reservation on their website is in August… So we decided to visit on a weekday at 11am. There were already quite a lot of people there but lucky for was still a table available for us. But we were leaving around 12pm+ there was already a queue forming outside even though it was a weekday!! This outlet has both seatings downstairs and upstairs but I wouldn’t say there’s a lot of seats available so be sure to make a reservation before going especially on weekends.

As we were there at 11am, they only had the All Day and Brunch menu for us to choose from. From the All Day menu we had Bangers & Mash ($14), Nacho Cheese Tater Tots ($12) and Honey Paprika Crispy Wings ($14). You definitely can’t go wrong with Bangers & Mash but I got to say the portion looks way smaller than how I remember it to be at the Simon Rd outlet. Nothing special for Nacho Cheese Tater Tots but they did give a generous about of nacho and tater tots were fried to perfection. The Honey Paprika Crispy Wings is always my go to order at Lola’s.

From their Brunch menu we tried the Lola’s Breakfast ($21), Seafood Croquette Egg Benedict ($20) and Lamb Shakshuka ($18). All the components of the Lola’s Breakfast was done well but it is a little pricy. I preferred their Crab Cake (which they don’t offer at TM) over the Seafood Croquette. There were barely any seafood tastes or sort and tasted like a regular potato croquette. I really love the sour dough bread which came with the Lamb Shakshuka! It was crispy on the outside but still moist in the middle. The lamb was so tender and goes really well with the gravy. But this is probably not suitable for those that dislike strong tasting food as there’s a strong taste of spices.

For dessert we had Carrot Cake ($7.50) which was too sweet for my liking and Lemon Basil Cheesecake ($8) which I preferred. I do recommend trying their Chai Latter as well, not many places do chai like them where you can really taste the spices instead of it tasting like syrups.

I will sure be back again to try their Dinner Menu!
