hi guys! i recently went to paris as i’m currently on exchange, so here’s my guide on how to visit all the main attractions in 24 hours! 🇫🇷
Day 1️⃣
📍Louvre
because it was late and we only reached at 7.30pm (we only landed in paris at 4pm) , we didn’t have to queue at all even though it was a friday!
⭐️pro tip: if you’re interested in art, you could easily spend 4-5 hours here so do allocate your time accordingly! for us we spent approx 1.5-2hours
📍Eiffel tower
from Louvre we walked to the Eiffel tower (~45 mins) and reached in time to catch it sparkle at 10pm! we bought sandwiches along the way and sat at a bench below the tower for the vibes hehe ~
⭐️pro tip: if you’re hungry there are actually quite a few shops set up around the Eiffel tower selling crepes, hot dogs etc and it’s not too pricey!
Day 2️⃣
📍Sacre Coeur Basilica
reached the basilica at about 10.30am and honestly… felt it was kinda underwhelming compared to other basilicas i’ve seen in europe LOL
⭐️pro tip: be prepared for quite a steep climb up a few flights of steps! if you’re lazy you can always take the funicular at the side 🚆
📍Arc de Triomphe
we reached at around 11.30am and snapped some pics 📸 before walking down Champs-Élysées
📍Ladurée
if you’ve ever tried searching for pastries to try in paris, this would definitely appear at the top of the list! i’m a huge sucker for desserts 🍫🍭so when we walked past the shop, i knew i had to try their world famous macarons
🍰what we tried: the marie-antoinette tea flavour was SO GOOD! i did not expect to actually taste the tea flavour and it was worth a try! we got the cotton candy flavour too but honestly it just tastes like what you would expect HAHAH
⭐️pro tip: though the queue looks really long, it moves really quickly! they have many interesting flavours so do decide beforehand cause i was stressing when they asked what flavours we wanted 😅
📍Crepe shop
this was a random push cart shop along the streets so i don’t have the address… but we got a chocolate crepe for 4 euros and it was really good!
📍Carette
another highly raved tiktok cafe in Paris!
🍰what we tried:
- hot chocolate: this was sooo pricey (12€) but honestly i think it’s worth it bc they gave a huge jug and i could refill my cup three times! they gave a big serving of whipped cream too
- croissant: the croissant was alright, not bad but nothing outstanding
- pain au chocolat: this was good! the croissant wasn’t overly flaky and the chocolate wasn’t too sweet, size was really decent too
- vanilla flan: honestly a pass for me, wasn’t amazing
📍Pantheon
didn’t go in as we already went to the pantheon in rome so we felt it wasn’t that worth it LOL
📍Luxembourg gardens
didn’t have space to include a picture of it 😭 but we walked from pantheon to the gardens and i was shocked at how big and crowded the garden was!
⭐️pro tip: come here for a picnic/ to chill and read a book! there are manyyyy chairs around and so many people were sitting on them and chilling, it was honestly such a vibe
📍Bouillon République
OMG. no words. this restaurant is so affordable compared to other restaurants in paris and the food is good too, i HIGHLY recommend it
🍔what we tried:
- steak & fries: the sauce for this was sooo good, really a must try! the fries were just how i like them too, thin and crispy on the outside
- butternut squash: this was rly good too! however they use blue cheese in this dish so it can be a little strong for some people (personally found it ok cause i love cheese)
⭐️pro tip: they gave a complimentary bread basket too but i didn’t really enjoy it cause the bread was quite hard
