When it comes to my morning routine, these habits are non-negotiable, especially if I want to set myself up for a good day.
💦first, hydrate! When you wake up first thing in the morning, your body is dehydrated, so it is critical to start off the day with replenishing your water sources. I like to refill my water and take it with me throughout my morning.
🙆🏻♀️ next, stretch! I’m sore and tight from a night of sleeping, so stretching helps get my body loose and sets me up to feel good for the day. I like to follow a guided yoga flow, or maybe just listen to an audio book while I stretch.
🚶🏻♀️next, get some movement in! Studies have shown that morning movement significantly helps lower cortisol throughout your day, so this is the perfect non-negotiable habit to start the day.
🛏️ finally, I like to tidy up by making the bed. Being a person who works from home, I often walk through my master bedroom, so keeping it clean and tidy helps me feel more organized throughout my day. Even when I had a 9-5 job, coming home from a long day of work to a tidy house just feels nice.
