I don’t know about you, but I have pretty low motivation during winter! And one of the ways that comes through is in getting to the gym. When it is dark and cold out, the last thing I want to do is get pumped to get my butt to the gym. Soooo here’s what my workout split is looking like lately when I want to stay in shape but am unmotivated to go to the gym.

- 🏋🏻‍♀️Monday: my ONE gym day. This way I get it over with at the beginning of the week and I can be proud of myself for getting it done. Focus on movements that use multiple muscle groups such as squat, bench press, dead lifts, hip thrusts, rows, pull ups etc.

- 💪🏼Tuesdays and Thursdays: an at home workout does the trick for me. I find inspo on social media and go for a Pilates workout, boxing, or HIIT style.

- 🌳Wednesdays: I walk outside! This is my light cardio day, and walking outside gets me some fresh air and hopefully sunshine.

- 💤Fridays & the weekends: REST! And I really do just rest! I cozy up with a good book and call it a day!

And these workouts are keeping me relatively in shape this winter without forcing myself to do things I don’t like during the cold and dreary months. Save for your next workout inspo!
