Since moving in, I’ve received tons of questions about my sintered stone sink, so here’s my experience and advice!
1. Measurements Matter
Getting the right measurements is everything. You don’t want your sink to arrive too big or too small. Make sure to get a professional to measure the space accurately, especially considering any pipes or drainage that could get in the way. I got my sink from a shop on Taobao. They offered a video call (which I thought was really professional) to measure on-site, but I wasn’t confident in my measuring skills. I had my contractor do a second measurement before approving the order. Trust me, it’s worth double-checking!
2. Maintenance Tips
The sink looks sleek, but its flat surface means water doesn’t drain as efficiently as a round sink would. Cleaning the corners is tricky too. So to keep it clean, I use a disposable brow brush with toothpaste to reach the tight areas. It’s definitely high maintenance. Looking back, I regret not choosing a round sink instead. Fewer edges = lesser cleaning
Final Thoughts
11 weeks in. Even with the extra effort for upkeep, I’m happy with my purchase. So far, so good! 🤞🏻
