Tips For Overnight Shift

Some tips for overnight shifts I’ve learned!

1) Dress warm and stay warm! The building is likely to be cooler at night

2) Get a good full sleep before the shift or it will be a very difficult shift as you fight to stay awake

3) Eat a good meal before so that you aren’t eating too much food and grazing throughout the night

4) Prepare your clothes and other items before sleeping so that you are prepared and can rest as much as possible

5) Stay hydrated! Because it’s good for you

6) Don’t sit on your butt too much even if there’s nothing happening. Keep the blood flowing by moving around every once in awhile
