1. SLEEP AT LEAST FOUR HOURS BEFORE YOUR SHIFT AND WAKE UP TWO HOURS BEFORE YOUR SHIFT STARTS!! This will give your body time to wake up, shower, EAT and prepare for your overnight.
2. ORGANIZE YOUR TASKS
I try to complete one or two listed nightly tasks every hour of my shift. This helps keep me focused, motivated and awake.
3. GO FOR A WALK ON YOUR BREAK
Outside or Inside, just keep your body moving, baby.
4. 20 PUSHUPS EVERY HOUR
Just another thing that helps me stay awake.
5. DO NOT EAT A HEAVY MEAL BEFORE YOUR SHIFT. This will make you drag and feel more tired. Try to pack snacks with a lot of protein and fiber. This will keep you from snacking all night long, and help you feel more full and you won’t have a sugar crash.
6. (Not listed) WATER. Simple. ♥️
