Coach to 🇲🇾!! And how to use the Msia egates 🛂

Recently, I had the chance to travel from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur via coach 🚍 and it was an experience worth sharing!

We booked our Transstar Travel Express (SVIP) coach tickets for $40 each way, which was also refundable and reschedulable. Our coach was quite spacious, with only three seats per row, USB ports 🔋 for charging electronic devices, and a footrest. However, the seats were a little dirty and some of us had a pimple breakout the next day. Link to Coach Booking Site!!

The journey wasn't without hiccups as our coach arrived an hour late ⏰ late, and we received no notifications from Transstar about the delay. We boarded at Lavender MRT exit B, but there were other locations available such as Jurong and the Golden Mile Complex. We expected customs to be busy due to the public holiday, but the jam was worse than we anticipated. We only cleared Malaysian customs at 2pm, and arrived in Kuala Lumpur at around 7/8pm.👎🏼

❗️However, for Singapore 🇸🇬 citizens, using the e-gates at the Malaysian customs is now possible. You just need to

1️⃣ Submit your Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) at least 3 days prior to arrival

2️⃣ Do a one-time verification at the manual counter on your first visit.

After that, you can use the e-gate directly, but you still need to submit MDAC 3 days in advance prior to each visit.❗️Link to submit your MDAC!!

Our return journey was similarly delayed, but we cleared customs smoothly with no jam on the causeway. The coach made several stops at Jurong, Golden Mile, and finally Lavender. I hope this information helps those planning to travel from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur and maybe not to take the coach on public holidays since there are many long weekends coming up! 👍🏻🚍
