Honestly, Tampopo is a very regular Japanese restaurant. Their food in general is pretty good but definitely don’t have that WOW factor. EXCEPT their roll katsu! If I am craving for tonkatsu, Tampopo is definitely where I will be headed to first. Their roll katsu is just fantastic. So so tender, and the batter is really crispy. With tonkatsu, it can kinda be a hit or miss as the tonkatsu from some places can be quite tough. This is not the case for the roll katsu from Tampopo. For cheese lovers, you are gonna love the cheese roll katsu! The cheese is super melty and just oozes out from every bite of the katsu. I find their set meal pretty worth it as well. You get miso soup (which even has pork slices inside) and 2 slices of watermelon as dessert.
