Sharing my Cancer Story

When I was in my early 20s, I binged on dairy milk and cheese. I probably drank more milk than water, and loved everything cheesy.

I later realised that my abdomen became distended and people were offering seats to me in the train because I looked pregnant, even though I wasn't.

I went to a nearby women's clinic to do a scan, but the machine couldn't even measure the size of the tumour - it was way too large.

I managed to get a same day referral from the polyclinic to NUH, where I was scheduled for surgery within the week.

There were enormous tumours in both my ovaries, and one was the size of a jackfruit.

Many things happened since then, but I think it's a miracle my ovaries still managed to gift me my kids. 🥲
