HOW MY FIRST SOLO TRIP WENT 👀

Everyone starts somewhere, and I didn’t happen to just start traveling on my own out of the blue. If you missed my last post, it’d give you a pretty good idea how I started, but where did I go for my first solo trip?

It was in February 2020, and my birthday was approaching while I literally had no plans! Funny enough, I had flight credits from a failed trip planned a couple of months prior. They were about to expire, and I didn’t want them to go to waste. So, I impulsively just got a ticket to nowhere other than…Puerto Rico!

I was so broke I definitely couldn’t afford a hotel, but Airbnb came through and I got this small little apartment that didn’t look the best, but it did more than enough. I was hesitant in doing activities on my own for the first time, it was intimidating doing something I wasn’t used to.

I gathered up the courage to start being social while exploring and I met some pretty cool people during my time there! This was another steppingstone in my solo travel journey, even though I didn’t go on another solo trip until another 2 YEARS later!

Crazy, right?
