any reco powder puffs that don't steal foundation?

I recently bought this super soft puff that feels amazing on my skin, but here's the thing: it seems to DEVOUR my foundation! One pump of product disappears like magic, and even two pumps aren't quite enough. It's like the puff sucks up all the makeup before it ever reaches my face!

After just a few hours, my face looks bare, like I never even applied foundation. Is this some kind of sorcery, or am I just using the wrong puff?
