I got into running in August 2022, when I really wanted to take my weight loss journey seriously. COVID-19 was the period of time that made me gain a lot of weight for my personal body so I began with going on walks every day and that slowly turned into running!
Here’s how I learned to love running:
Finding safe and pretty routes to run! 🔒
As a young woman, it can be really scary running by yourself, so making sure to do research on open trails or routes definitely made me excited & more secure for my runs!
Having an energy drink before my runs! 🧃
It makes me feel like I’m having a little treat and it gives me an energy boost that I need for my runs.
Realizing it helped to cope with my anxiety and stress💆♀️ I realized on days that I wouldn’t run I didn’t have an outlet to express my anxiety or stress in a healthy way so running genuinely changed my mental health.
Starting at my own comfortable pace🏃♀️
creating my own running goals for each week made me feel empowered and listening to my body and what it can handle helped me with my running.
