Hey everyone, it’s me again! My husband and I recently celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary, and we had an amazing time at Celavi at MBS. I just wanted to share that marriage takes a lot of work—it’s not always a bed of roses. There are ups and downs, and sometimes things aren’t easy. But at the end of the day, it’s about you and your spouse working together to maintain a healthy, strong relationship.

In 10 years, what I’ve learned is that, no matter what, you have to be yourself. You need passion and compassion for both yourself and your partner. If you’re passionate about your own dreams and goals, and you’re truly fulfilled as an individual, only then can you be a better partner, spouse, and even a better parent. Most importantly, you really have to love yourself and not lose who you are in the relationship. Your spouse is looking for that person they fell in love with, so don’t forget to stay true to yourself.

Also, it’s so important to show each other love, compassion, and understanding, and to make an effort for one another. If you don’t, that’s how the marriage can start to fall apart, especially when you have children. The effort you put into your relationship is what keeps it strong.
