Donating ALL my bday gifts to charity 💖

#BeReal - Turning 34 this year & all I wish is to live a more intentional and purposeful life (that includes moving away from consumerism & to be more involved in charity causes). It has always been my dream to do more for our society but being strapped for time, I can’t cater time for volunteer work atm🥹

Starting last year, I started doing Fundraising campaign (during my birthday month). Rejecting ALL gifts, I direct my friends and family to 💰 DONATE 💰instead.

Steps to start a campaign:

1️⃣ (see picture 2 on the platform I use) You get to choose the organization that you want to donate

2️⃣ Start a fundraising campaign + get approved by the organization

3️⃣ Get all your friends and family members to donate!

By doing this, it really benefits EVERYONE! HOW?

💖For every donation, the individual gets 250% tax deduction (donor pays less tax!)

💖 100% contributions goes to the organization directly (you don’t need to receive the money then donate to the organization. Everything is done in the website, and the tax deduction is also automatically recorded)

💖 Your friends and family don’t have to fret over birthday gifts for you!

💖 You get to help the less fortunate

Last year I chose SPCA as my beneficiary, this year, I was encouraged from a friend to donate to Children’s Cancer Foundation.

💭 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻:

I honestly feel that I don’t need a new makeup blusher/perfume or any other material goods from my loved ones. If I need one, I can buy for myself?! 😂

And also, i really hate product wastage. Gifts are meant as surprises but if it doesn’t suit my style, both the item + money is wasted.
