Here’s why i donated $1,000,000 to Children’s society singapore!

Before i say anything, i just want to say that i dont care if anyone thinks its bragging or i didn’t have to post me donating etc. its my money, i do whatever i want, i donated within my means just like anyone else would and it was a huge milestone for me. If anyone takes this post wrongly, go be butthurt on your own expense.

So, growing up poor has taught me valuable lessons in life. The things i had to appreciate because that was all i had, and levels i had to go to to get what i want. I grew up with barely any food on the table, though some days are better but for the most part i was eating really badly and little growing up. What ever coins i could salvage around my home, i would save it up to buy me a can of sardines, a can of beans and bread. That was pretty much my childhood. I remember distinctly when the electric in my house would often get shut off due to no payment and i had to go to the aunty shop near my to borrow their phone to call my mom. I starved my entire childhood and was constantly trying to survive.

When i was a kid going through struggles, i knew that one day i will be successful by any means necessary, by any way. I knew that when i become successful one day, i will give back to the less fortunate any way i can.

Fast forward, after years and years of hard work and determination, i became successful, i will never forget where i came from because those stories shaped me to be the man i am today. When i felt it was time to give back, i knew i wanted to do something big that it would help thousands. But i did not wanted to be known for being the one who donated. Yes i will share this story to everyone but to them, i wouldn’t want them to know who it was so i donated online and anonymously.

I struggled so much as a kid that all i wanted was to not ever see another kid who went through what i did or worse. Word to everyone, if it is within your means, please do not forget to give back. This isnt a flex or whatever, humbly, i would want everyone to just take a step back and realise how good you have it compared to some people. There will always be another person who was it worse.

I hope this motivates some of you to give back and/or to work towards your dreams and perhaps one day, you will be the one helping people!
