most cafes that i’ve been to typically have really nice aesthetics but their food tastes pretty average and mostly isn’t that yummy. HOWEVER, my opinions changed after i visited the assembly ground

the assembly ground cafe is an extension of the assembly store, a multi-label store which curates international fashion and lifestyle brands.

i visited their cineleisure outlet and the place is bigger than i expected! there were plenty of seats inside. one thing that i noticed is that they have the capacity to host large group (7 of us sat at a table). because we went as a larger group, we got to order many different dishes to share and try, so here’s some of my favourites!

⭐TRUFFLE CARBONARA ($25)

the truffle carbonara contained fettucine, shitake and white button mushroom, porcini cream sauce, poached egg, shaved parmigiano and truffle paste. this was probably my favourite dish out of all as i’m a huge fan of truffle and pasta😍 the noodles were cooked to perfection and i love the bite of it. the truffle taste was prominent too, but not too overwhelming and it wasn’t gelat at all like usual cream based pasta. i would definitely get this again if i’m back at the assembly ground

⭐ASSEMBLY TRUFFLE FRIES ($14)

the truffle fries is another of my must-have side to share with your friends. when it arrived, the shoestring fries were so crispy and warm. it was so addictive that we kept taking more from the bowl HAHA i would say there isn’t anything super special about it but if they definitely nailed their truffle fries!

⭐SALTED YOLK CALAMARI ($15)

if you love salted egg yolk, you will DEFINITELY LOVE THIS. the assembly ground definitely know their salted egg yolk well because it tasted to bombz omg… the fried calamari was also fried so well i kept reaching out for more🤤 omg as i’m typing this, i’m craving for some HAHAH

these were my top 3 favourites and honorary mention would go to their dessert, specifically the brownie ice cream bomb ($12)!!! was a nice way to end off our super filling meal hehe~~ the food was a little pricey to be honest but i would think it’s worth it to splurge and treat yourself to good food once in a while😉 i think if you bring your date here, they will be SERIOUSLY IMPRESSED HAHAH
